Much of behavioural neuroscience is suitable for analysis using simple t-tests and ANOVAs. I am able to select the appropriate omnibus and to control for type I errors in post-hoc tests. I can also calculate effect sizes using cohen’s d, partial eta squared or Bonett (2008) confidence intervals on contrasts of means.
I have also extended my use of regression models in my work on scholarly publishing. For example, in my paper on article processing charges, I used a multi-level modelling approach to show that journals that increase their fees do not suffer a loss in article volume over time.
